They govern both:

The company will then proceed to temporarily deactivate the account until verification of the holder's identity and reset of access.
6.3. Authentication and Enhanced Security

6.5. Account Deletion
The user may request permanent deletion of their account at any time, by email to contact@gabonconnect.com.
This deletion results in the deactivation of all access and the deletion of associated data, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and regulations on the protection of personal data (ANINF / CNPD / GDPR).
However, certain data may be temporarily retained for purposes of proof, regulatory compliance or dispute prevention, within the limits set by law.
Article 7 - Intellectual Property
7.1. Ownership of Rights

- damage caused by a virus, cyberattack or intrusion into the user's computer systems, despite the security measures in place
The website being provided "as is", the user expressly acknowledges using it under their own responsibility and at their own risk.
10.3. Technical Liability and Security
Gabon Connect SARLU implements security measures in compliance with international standards (ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, ANINF, CNPD) to protect its infrastructure and the data passing through it.
However, the user is informed that no computer system can guarantee absolute security, and that the Publisher cannot be held liable in case of:
- unauthorized access to data or systems, despite the protection measures in place
- disruption of the Internet network, server unavailability, or hacking acts beyond its control
- loss, alteration or destruction of data resulting from a technical or human failure at the user's or a third party's end
The user remains responsible for the protection of their own equipment, the updating of their software, and the backup of their data before any use of the website.
10.4. Published Content and External Links
The website may contain information from external sources or linking to third-party websites (see Article 9).
Gabon Connect SARLU assumes no responsibility regarding the validity, reliability or legality of this content, nor the consequences of accessing third-party websites from gabonconnect.com.
Any publication of erroneous, defamatory or unlawful information by a user exclusively engages the liability of the content author.
The Publisher reserves the right to remove without notice any content that violates the law or these T&C.
10.5. Liability in Case of Force Majeure
Gabon Connect SARLU cannot be held liable for any failure to fulfill its contractual or legal obligations when such failure results from a force majeure event within the meaning of Gabonese law and international standards, including in particular:
- natural disasters, fires, floods, earthquakes
- power outages, network failures or telecommunications saturation
- massive cyberattacks, access blockages, server failures
- social conflicts, strikes, riots, wars or government decisions affecting telecommunications or digital services
In the event of such an occurrence, the Publisher's obligations shall be suspended for the entire duration of the force majeure event, without compensation or liability.
10.6. User Responsibility
The user remains solely responsible for:
- the use they make of the website, its data and its services
- compliance with these T&C and applicable regulations
- any damage they may cause to Gabon Connect SARLU, its partners or third parties, due to unlawful or abusive use
Any use of the website for fraudulent purposes, contrary to the law or these T&C, may give rise to administrative, civil or criminal sanctions in accordance with applicable legislation.
Article 11 - Suspension and Termination
11.1. Suspension Powers
Gabon Connect SARLU reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend a user's access to the website https://gabonconnect.com, its associated platforms or their user account, without notice or compensation, in the following cases:
- non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions of Use (T&C)
- attempted intrusion, hacking, technical manipulation or unauthorized access to internal systems
- fraudulent, diverted use, or use contrary to applicable laws (e.g., distribution of illegal, abusive, discriminatory or defamatory content)
- damage to the image, reputation, security or economic interests of Gabon Connect SARLU
- suspicion of abusive, malicious behavior or compromise of the security system
- express request from a judicial, administrative or regulatory authority (ANINF, CNPD, Libreville Prosecutor's Office, etc.)
- critical maintenance, major update or justified security reason
The suspension may concern complete access to the website, a particular service or all accounts associated with the concerned user.
11.2. Notification and Procedure
In case of suspension or termination, Gabon Connect SARLU will inform, to the extent possible, the user by electronic means (email or account notification), specifying the reason for the measure and, where applicable, the steps to follow to regularize their situation.
However, when the suspension results from a serious breach or a judicial injunction, the notification may occur after the fact, in order to preserve system security or data integrity.
11.3. Definitive Termination
Gabon Connect SARLU reserves the right to definitively terminate a user's access, without compensation, in the following situations:
- serious or repeated violation of these T&C
- fraud, identity theft, falsification of information or infringement of intellectual property rights
- breach of security, proper functioning or integrity of the website and its services
- unauthorized commercial use of website content or technologies
- use of the website for purposes contrary to Gabonese law, OHADA law or community regulations
Termination results in the immediate deactivation of the user account, removal of access and, if necessary, preservation of evidence within the framework of judicial or regulatory proceedings.
11.4. User-Initiated Termination
The user may at any time request voluntary termination of their account or cease using the website and services of Gabon Connect Technology SARLU.
This request must be made in writing to the following address: contact@gabonconnect.com or by mail to: Gabon Connect SARLU – Data Protection Service 160, Rue Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké - Bd Triomphal (montée de Sotega), B.P. 5817, Libreville-Gabon.
The termination request will be processed within a maximum of 30 business days from its receipt.
Account deletion implies the erasure of associated personal data, except for data that the company is required to retain to meet legal, accounting or judicial obligations (e.g., security logs, transaction traces, ANINF/CNPD compliance).
11.5. Consequences of Termination
Termination, regardless of its cause, automatically results in:
- removal of access to the website and reserved services
- deactivation of the user account and its associated features
- termination of rights to use content, resources or tools made available by Gabon Connect SARLU
- permanent loss of any hosted data, except for legal retention obligations
- termination of any subscription or access contract potentially linked to the deleted account
No compensation, refund or data transfer may be demanded, unless otherwise provided by law.
11.6. Post-Termination Legal Effects
Termination of these T&C, whether initiated by the user or Gabon Connect SARLU, does not terminate:
- confidentiality and personal data protection obligations (Article 8)
- intellectual property rights and usage restrictions (Article 7)
- nor the clauses relating to applicable law and competent jurisdiction (Article 12)
These provisions shall continue to produce their effects after the closure of the account or cessation of access to the website.
Article 12 - Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction
12.1. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions of Use (T&C), as well as all legal relationships between Gabon Connect SARLU and users of the website https://gabonconnect.com, are governed by the law of the Gabonese Republic.
They are interpreted in light of:
- national legal provisions regarding electronic commerce, digital communication, data protection and cybersecurity
- Law No. 001/2011 of September 25, 2011 on the protection of personal data
- OHADA (Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa) community texts applicable to commercial companies and electronic contracts
- and relevant international standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and ISO/IEC 27001 standards on information security
Within the framework of its digital and cross-border activities, Gabon Connect SARLU acts in compliance with the principles of digital sovereignty, data confidentiality and regulatory compliance applicable in Gabonese territory and the CEMAC zone.
12.2. Amicable Settlement Attempt
Before any legal action, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution to any dispute relating to the interpretation, execution or validity of these T&C or the use of the website.
To this end, the user may send a written complaint to: contact@gabonconnect.com or by postal mail to: Gabon Connect SARLU – Legal Department 160, Rue Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké - Bd Triomphal (montée de Sotega), B.P. 5817, Libreville-Gabon.
The Publisher undertakes to acknowledge receipt of the complaint and respond within a reasonable time, not exceeding thirty (30) business days from its receipt.
Failing amicable settlement within this period, the parties may resort to an alternative dispute resolution method (conciliation, mediation, arbitration) before any court proceedings.
12.3. Jurisdictional Competence
In case of failure of mediation or absence of amicable agreement, any dispute or litigation relating to the interpretation, execution or validity of these T&C shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Libreville (Gabonese Republic).
This attribution of jurisdiction applies even in case of plurality of defendants, warranty claims, emergency proceedings, interim measures or incidental claims.
However, Gabon Connect SARLU reserves the right to refer to any other competent court, particularly in the country where the user resides, if this option proves more suitable for the proper administration of justice.
12.4. Independence of Clauses
If one or more provisions of these T&C were declared null, illegal or unenforceable, the other clauses would remain in force and continue to produce their effects to the fullest extent permitted by law.
No tolerance, omission or delay on the part of Gabon Connect SARLU in the application of a clause shall be interpreted as a waiver of its rights or the future application of that clause.
12.5. Reference Language
These T&C are written in French, which constitutes the official reference language.
Any translation into another language is provided for informational purposes only and shall not prevail over the French version in case of divergence in interpretation.
12.6. Entry into Force
These Terms and Conditions of Use take effect from their publication on the website and remain applicable throughout the entire duration of use of the services offered by Gabon Connect SARLU.
The online version at the date of consultation shall prevail over any previous printed or archived version.
